Things to Do

 
One of the highlights of living in Central Bucks is that there's never a shortage of things to do. Founded in 1938, the County Theater is a great place to see a movie if you're looking for something different than what's playing at your local multiplex. With its focus on independent, art, and foreign films, the County Theater provides a unique movie-going experience that you're sure to enjoy.

At Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve, the whole family can explore the great outdoors and learn about native plants and animals. The 134-acre preserve is home to over 700 species of native plants, as well as a variety of birds, butterflies, and other wildlife. The botanical garden features a collection of over 200 native plant species, while the museum features educational exhibits on the natural history of the region. 

Nockamixon State Park offers locals a chance to explore the great outdoors without having to travel too far from home.  With 5,286 acres of land to explore, the park is replete with opportunities to connect with mother nature. The centerpiece of the park is Lake Nockamixon, a 1,450-acre body of water that is popular with boaters and birdwatchers alike.

Mercer Museum boasts an extensive collection of over 50,000 pre-Industrial tools. This fascinating glimpse into America's past reflects at least sixty different trades and crafts, making it one of the most detailed records of pre-Industrial American culture in the world.
